HSE Policy HSE Policy

As in all of Mitchell Corp depots, best practice HSE Management is an integral part of Mitchell Corp business management practices and goals.   

The HSE Management System provides functional work groups, including contractors and third parties, a common framework to manage existing and future health safety & environmental related risk within Mitchell Corp operations.

The Mitchell Corp HSE Management System objectives are as follows:

  • Prevent accidents, eliminate hazards and improve HSE performance;
  • Ensure, as a minimum, initial and on-going compliance with all applicable legislative requirements;
  • Provide a platform for continuous improvement;

To achieve these objectives, the Management System must be comprehensive. The System's scope covers the following:

  • Areas and operational aspects which have the potential to affect the health and safety of people, or the environment;
  • All relevant legislative and other requirements; and
  • All elements of HSE management, including communication and awareness.

Currently, the Internal Requirements applicable to the Mitchell Corp HSE Management System are:

  • Mitchell Corp Health Safety & Environment Policy
  • Mitchell Corp Health Safety & Environment (13) Management Standards

The Mitchell Corp HSE Management Standards are an integral part of the Mitchell Corp HSE Management System. The Standards encompass Mitchell Corp Benchmark requirements covering HSE Procedures, Forms and guidelines and apply to all Mitchell Corp regions Australia-wide.

The Standards also apply to all operations where Mitchell Corp has an operating responsibility and are applicable to work carried out by contractors.
