Mitchell is one of Australia's major carriers of dangerous goods, transporting explosive emulsion, ammonium nitrate, cyanide, anhydrous ammonia, sulphuric acid and packaged explosives.

Mitchell operates a fleet of 90 prime movers and 120 trailers as part of it's dangerous goods operations.

Mitchell Helidon (established in 2004) is a specialised bulk packaged explosives transport business and provides services to the resource and defence industries throughout Australia from depots in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.

Mitchell Helidon's expertise and commitment to continuous improvement has seen long term contracts established with Australian Defence Industries, Dyno Nobel and Orica.
